Gender equality: a shifting concept and its developments in Baltic and Nordic countries
Conceptualizations of gender equality and its perception in the Baltic and Nordic societies with a focus on national and regional socio-historical contexts and processes, such as the transition from an industrial to a post-industrial society, and from a socialist to a post-socialist society.
Intrareligious developments and gender equality
A diversity of developments within religious groups related to issues of gender equality, and the negotiation of competing gender ideologies. The research will cover majority and minority religions in Norway and the Baltic countries: Evangelical Lutherans, Roman Catholics, Muslims, and contemporary Pagans.
Interreligious developments and gender equality
Initiatives of interreligious alliances facing the challenges posed by increasing religious pluralism or introduced secular gender-related policies.
Religion and public discourse on gender equality
The role of religions in the construction of public discourse on gender equality.
Gender equality and religious socialization
The promotion of religious gendered through socialization and public education, such as the representation of gender in religious education textbooks.
