Aivita Putnina is associated professor at the University of Latvia and anthropologist. After receiving her PhD from the University of Cambridge in the UK, she came back to Latvia and established the first Department of Anthropology continuing research on family, gender, family policy, violence and biotechnologies. Religion as the main focus of research is recent and the main contribution to ReliGen project is supporting WP2 “Intrareligious developments of gender equality” with insights from anthropology of gender and fieldwork.
