Dace Balode

Dace Balode, University of Latvia, Faculty of Theology

Professor of Biblical Theology, Faculty of Theology, University of Latvia. She has studied theology at the University of Latvia, as well as at the Faculties of Theology in Basel and Bern.  

Dace Balode has been working at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Latvia since 2000, and is currently the Dean of this faculty. Her academic interests include biblical theology and theories and history of text interpretation, as well as the role of women in the Christian tradition  

In the ReliGen project she leads the Latvian group of the researchers and investigates the developments regarding the gender euquality in Latvian Lutheranism .
