Göran Larsson, Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Gothenburg, Swede

Göran Larsson is Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, where he is also currently Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Humanities. His research focuses mainly on Islam and Muslims in Europe in both past and present, but he has also conducted research on theoretical and methodological questions within the field of religious studies. He has published extensively on a number of topics in leading international journals and with esteemed international publishing houses like Brill, Springer, Ashgate and Oxford University Press. One of his latest publications is Leaving Religion, published in Brill’s Handbooks on Contemporary Religions series, together with Associate Professor Daniel Enstedt and Dr Teemu T. Mantsinen.
