Ilva Skulte, Dr.Philol. is associated professor at Riga Stradins University. She defended her doctoral thesis in history of language in 1999 and started her work in the Department of Communication studies in 2001, in the same time writing for different media. Her research interests include analysis of media and political discourse, analysis of (literary) text and media as well as media literacy and children. 

In ReliGen project she will work on WP4 “Religion and public discourse” analysing media discourse on gender and religion.
