Katarzyna Zielińska, Associate Professor at the Institute of Sociology at Jagiellonian University in Kraków.
Katarzyna Zielińska is Associate Professor at the Institute of Sociology at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Her academic interests focus on religion, gender and democracy in Central and Eastern Europe as well as on transformations of collective identities in contemporary Europe and in the EU. She published numerous articles in Polish and international academic journals, and she wrote two monographs. Her most recent co-authored books focuses on intersections between religion, gender and migration (Poza granicami: płeć społeczno-kulturowa w katolickich organizacjach migracyjnych [Beyond borders: Gender in Catholic Mgration Organisations], published by Nomos Publishing House. She teaches and supervises students in sociology of religion and in gender studies. In the past, she has taught abroad at Glasgow University, University in Ljubljana, Utica College in USA among others.
