Rimgailė Dikšaitė

Rimgailė Dikšaitė, PhD candidate in sociology and researcher at Vytautas Magnus University

Rimgailė Dikšaitė is a 4th year PhD student in the Dept. of Sociology at Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania. Her PhD thesis is focused on diversification of religion in modern Lithuania. In her dissertation, she examines the role played by education as a social institution in the construction of the image of religious communities.

Rimgailė Dikšaitė has gained work experience as a researcher in both national and international projects. Her research interests include image construction, religious mediation processes, public communication and discourse research.
In this project, Rimgailė Dikšaitė will be researching how genders in different religious traditions are portrayed in textbooks.
